Yeah, remember the Palestine flag incident, then the doll incident now the Green Brigade with their banner, you know, the bunch that proclaim to be anti-racist, anti-homophobic or really anything with anti on it. Except they aren’t anti-sectarian! Strange.They forever bemoan the Orange Walk as being sectarian, yet they are sectarian themselves or maybe they are being “patriotic!” Don’t really know where their patriotism lies, Scotland, Ireland maybe even Palestine! Who knows, maybe a mixture of all three.
What i do know, the Green Brigade are sectarian. As sectarian comes, they are whats wrong with Scottish football. They are a blight on Scottish football and on Scotland in general. They aren’t a solution to the problem, they are the problem. Its Scotland’s problem, until Scotland tackles the sectarianism within football and especially the likes of Green Brigade Scotland will always be plagued by these hate filled people/groups.
Some Celtic supporters have tried to defend the banner as “banter!” While another said, “Hun Scum was not sectarian!” While another asked for the picture to be taken down as it made the “Green Brigade look bad.” Well in all honesty, if the banner isn’t sectarian how could it make you look bad! Oh, i know, because it is sectarian.
